Doctrine about the Holy Spirit
 

1. Holy Spirit was there at creation: (Genesis 1:2) The spirit of God was

    active in creation, and His creative power continues today.

2. The title given to the Holy Spirit in John 14:16 is the comforter.

3. The Holy Spirit is described as the agent in the conception (birth) of

    Jesus (Matthew 1:20) in the virgin birth. Jesus did not have a natural

    father. He was born to Mary through supernatural conception by means of

    the holy Spirit.

4. But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power

    (Acts 1:8, Zechariah 4:6).

5. What is the Trinity? Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 2

    Corinthians 13:14).

6. The word trinity does not appear in the Bible. The Holy Spirit is the third

    person of the trinity.

7. The doctrine of the trinity; which maintains that there is only one God,

    with three persons within the Godhead (not three Gods).

8. Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness (Mark 1:12; Galatians

    5:25).

9. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30, Psalms 95:10 KJV).
